Sunshine dominates today as summertime heat sets in

Sunshine and hot temperatures bring us summertime weather for our Wednesday. Afternoon highs soar into the low 90s. A few passing clouds are possible.

Later tonight, those near the Il/WI line may see a stronger storm or two. Chances are low along with a low, marginal risk in place. Parts of the area, north of US 20 are under a 1 out of 5. If a storm becomes severe, it could bring damaging winds and hail.

This threat will subside early into Thursday. Cloud cover and sunshine mix in tomorrow with the afternoon featuring a low chance for an isolated shower. Most of us look to stay dry.

Temperatures stay in the middle 80s through Friday, however another chance for rain to return for the end of the week. There will be some dry time through Friday.

Low chances for rain remain for both Saturday and Sunday with most of the day staying dry. Temperatures will drop into the upper 70s for the weekend with the low 80s returning by next Monday
