Actor Rob Schneider
said Monday that he is launching a show to compete with “The View.”
“We’re gonna do [an] all-ladies talk show that won’t be like ‘The
View,’” Schneider told anchor Trace Gallagher on “Fox News @ Night,” in
a clip highlighted by Mediaite.
Schneider said his show, in comparison to ABC’s “The View,” will “be the
opposite, ‘cause this will be entertaining” and will feature “funny
women.”
“They’re going to tell jokes and have funny stories, and health and
wellness,” Schneider said.
“The View” features multiple co-hosts who have expressed negative
opinions of President-elect Trump, including comedian Whoopi Goldberg,
former Trump White House official-turned-Trump critic Alyssa Farah
Griffin and Republican strategist Ana Navarro.
“It’s going to be a funny show, not going to be like drowning people in
politics,” Schneider said of his upcoming show in his Fox News
appearance Monday. “It’s not going to be shaming people and making
people wince.”
Schneider has said previously that in the 2016 election, he cast his
ballot in favor of Trump and also expressed his support for former 2024
independent presidential candidate Robert F. Kennedy Jr.’s bid for the
White House. Kennedy is now Trump’s pick to lead the Department of
Health and Human Services.
In the wake of Trump’s May conviction in his New York hush money case,
Schneider said on the social platform X that, “just like that… A former
President of the United States has been hounded and found guilty by
biased Democrats.”
“Now the Republicans will have to retaliate against Democrats when they
regain power,” he added.
The Hill has reached out to ABC News for comment.
